Top Ten Tuesday ~ Auto-Buy Authors

Top 10 Tuesday is a weekly bookish feature hosted by

Today's Topic: Auto-Buy Authors

Hi Everyone!

Today I am sharing with you some of my all-time favorite authors. I am not a huge book buyer. I mostly check out from my library but I do have auto-buy authors. These are the best of the best in my eyes. If you have not checked out these authors you need to really give them a try!

I absolutely love The Throne of Glass series. It is so epic and the story keeps getting more and more amazing. The story has just captured my heart and I am a forever fan. I cannot wait for Queen of Shadows. I need it RIGHT NOW!!

Rainbow's writing is simple and beautiful. It is a work of art. I love her dialogue and her amazing character development. Her stories stick with me so much and I just want her to write MORE! I need more!

I recently read I'll Give You The Sun and fell in love with the book. She is an instant favorite! If you have not read this book- you HAVE to read it. I need to pick up the Sky is Everywhere very soon!

I love dystopian books and I used to read a lot of them. I love the Divergent world so much. Veronica did an amazing job creating a unique and interesting world. I love all the details that went into this amazing world. I miss that element in dystopian books. I want her to write another series. PLEASE!

I have a love-hate relationship with this series. But I love it! I will read anything she writes. I think she does an amazing job of writing interesting and complex characters. Even though this series is not perfect, I don't care. These characters stick with me and I am cannot get the stories out of my head. They are so action-packed and your heart is just in the hands of these amazing characters. I cannot wait for her new book called Passengers! It is supposed to be released in January 2016.

Perfection. Laini Taylor is my perfect author. This book series is fantastic! She has the most whimsical writing style and I LOVE her world building. It is amazing! I need more from this author!!! She is a genius.

I love Stephanie Perkins writing style too. I think she does a great job of making you feel like your part of the story. She make her settings come to life and I feel like I need to travel and experience these places for myself. I need her to write another book!!

Thanks for visiting today!! :)
Who are some of your auto-buy authors?

  4. I've got an ebook copy of Daughter of Smoke & Bone I need to start. I've heard great things about it! Rainbow Rowell didn't make my list because I've only read one of her books. But I plan on fixing that. :) Great list!

  7. I really enjoyed most of those authors on your list :)
I do have to say that some of them didn't tell the perfect story for me, but their writing is fantastic.
    Fantastic list :)

  8. I decided not to do TTT this week, but I had, my list would have been very similar to yours! I LOVE Rainbow Rowell, and have already preordered Carry On (I NEVER preorder. EVER.), and Sarah J Maas is amazing too. But can we just stop and have a moment to celebrate Laini Taylor? I finished Dreams of Gods and Monsters yesterday, and I am just in AWE. That world building; those characters; the names and myths and intricacies.... Uh. Amazing.

    1. Yes!!! Dreams of Gods and Monsters was pure magic. It was so beautiful and heart-wretching. I loved it so much! I cannot wait for Carry On to come out. She is the contemporary queen! AND Sarah J Maas is my new favorite. I started her books in January and I fell in love with her characters! Heir of Fire was unbelievable. I felt like the story just exploded and she took it to whole new level. I cannot wait for Queen of Shadows!!!

  9. I have only read Anna and the French Kiss and while I did like it, I wasn't such a big fan of it sadly. I'm hopefully going to start Throne of Glass soon so I cannot wait! I have only heard good things about it :)

    1. I hope you enjoy Throne of Glass! It is fantastic!! :) It seems like Anna and the French Kiss is one of those that you either love it or hate it. I am definitely in the love it group. My favorite is Lola and the Boy Next Door. The characters are really unique and very likable.

  10. AHH I LOVE THESE AUTHORS TOO!! I think Laini Taylor is coming out with a new book next year ??? or the year after??/ EITHER WAY I WANT IT. And I haven't read ANY Alexandra Bracken yet but it's on my need list. xD The Darkest Minds sounds SO amazing! Also eternal love for Rainbow Rowell, Jandy Nelson and Sarah J Maas...although the latter kinda breaks my heart WAY too much. XD

You made my day!! :) Alexandra Bracken is books are definitely not flawless but they are super entertaining and the characters are very gripping. 11. I'm so bummed that I didn't get to do TTT this week (had no time - boo hoo!) because I love this week's topic! You have several on your list that I've been meaning to try but just haven't got to yet. I even have the books sitting on my shelves... just haven't made the time. Laini Taylor - have the trilogy and have heard such awesome things about her writing. Alexandra Bracken - again, own the trilogy but still haven't read it. Ditto with Stephanie Perkins. I know, I know, what am I doing with my life, right? LOL My list would include: Colleen Hoover, Jennifer Armentrout, Abbi Glines, Krista & Becca Ritchie, Kristin Hannah and maybe Cora Carmack.

    1. I need to read some Colleen Hoover. She was all over the place for this TTT. I need to make a point to read her books. I also would love to read some Jennifer L. Armentrout. She seems like a great person and an entertaining author. You need to pick up those books! Start with Laini Taylor. She is magical. :)

  12. YES! Maas, Nelson both are on my auto buy list as well, and with good reason too. I think when it comes to both fantasy and contemporary in young adult, they are both at the top of their genres really, especially Maas. I just finished Queen of Shadows and you'll absolutely LOVE it Theresa, it's epic!
