Top Ten Books I'd Love To See As Movies/TV Series

Top 10 Tuesday is a weekly bookish feature hosted by The Broke and The Bookish.

I love to see my favorite books turned into movies and TV series! I love to see the characters come to life and see if the producers can make it as true to the book as possible. So let's get started!!

Top 5 Books I'd Love To See As A Movie

1. Daughter of Smoke and Bone By Laini Taylor: This is one of my favorite series of all time. I absolutely love the world and the characters. I have heard this book is in "the works" to become a movie. But they have been saying that for several years. This would be a very expensive movie to produce in order for it to stay true to the book. It has a very elaborate setting and very detailed creatures that would be amazing to see on the big screen! Fingers crossed!

2. Across the Universe by Beth Revis: This is such a cool dystopian series that I think goes under the radar. If you love sci-fi books you will love this one! It would be a great action-packed movie.

3. The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken: This would make such a fabulous movie! The characters are so unique and the dystopian world would translate great in the theaters!

4.We Were Liars by E. Lockhart: This would be such an amazing movie!! Can this please happen?!

5. All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven: Okay- I know this is already being made into a movie and I cannot WAIT!!

Top 5 Books I'd Love To See As TV Series

Some books just do not translate that well as movies. They have too much details or need more character development for the story to come across the way the author intended.

1.  Mistborn (The Final Empire) by Brandon Sanderson: I love this book series so much! It would be perfect for HBO!

2.  Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas: Another all time favorite book series. This would have to be a tv series because I would never want it to end. This series is so special to me and I cannot wait to reread it! Queen of Shadows- I need you now!

3.  City of Bones by Cassandra Clare: This movie was a flop. I did enjoy it for the entertainment value, but it was a horrible representation of the book. I know they are making this into a series and I am so excited! Please do it right! Who is going to play Magnus???

4. Cinder by Marissa Meyer: Yes! This would make an amazing TV series. I would love to see how they would pull off Queen Levana!

5.  Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead: Another book that flopped at the box office. It was okay, but not as good as the book series. It just needed more time for the story to brew! This would be perfect for a TV series! This series is definitely one of my guilty pleasures and I love the characters, especially Adrian!

Thanks for visiting today! What are some of your favorite books you would want to see made into a movie and/or TV series???

Happy Reading!!

  1. I love your choices! We Were Liars is high on my TBR list for the summer, I've been hearing such great things! If you liked Across the Universe, you might like The Age of Miracles - it's a dystopian, end-of-the-world type story.

I'm a new follower of your blog!
