Top Ten Tuesday~ Ten Books That Celebrate Diversity

Top 10 Tuesday is a weekly bookish feature hosted by

Today's Topic:  Ten Books That Celebrate Diversity/Diverse Characters

I am really trying to read more diverse books. I have read most of these titles this year and I loved each and every one of these books. If you have any recommendations for me, I would love to hear them!

This book seems come up every week on TTT! Sorry. It is hard not to mention it. This book is amazing! The main character, Noah is gay. He is so well developed and I think it does a great job representing a lot of the struggles and challenges that a teenage, gay boy would have. Read it.

Another book that I cannot stop thinking and talking about. I could reread this book over and over. It is that good! One of the main characters in this book has a mental disability.

This is a book I have read very recently. The main character, Naila, is Pakistani and she lives in America. This book deals with a lot of cultural traditions, especially arrange marriages. Read it! I really enjoyed this one.

If you like graphic novels or comics this is a great culturally diverse comic series. The main character struggles with her cultural identity and finding her place in America. She also happens to turn into a superhero! Fantastic read!

One of my all time favorite characters. Tyrion. He is one of the most complex and diverse character. Tyrion is a dwarf, who has many challenges in the world of Westeros. He is mocked by society including his own family. He is incredibly intelligent and wise. He uses his disability as an advantage. I could just go on, and on.

This book has received so much praise and I still have not read this one. This one seems to come up the most when I do searching for cultural diverse books.

I do not know a whole lot about this book. I have seem it come up a lot for its culturally diversity. It has a lot of great ratings on Goodreads. The synopsis does not blow me away but I think it might surprise me.

I do not think I have read a YA Fiction book with a main character who is a lesbian. This one sounds really good and has received a lot of great reviews.

9. Sold
I have heard this story is very heart breaking. This book is a fiction story about a young girl who is sold into prostitution. It sounds incredible and I hope to get to this one very soon.

This main character is a teenage boy who is gay. This book is receiving a lot of great reviews. Many say that this story is very realistic and just adorable. I cannot wait to read this one!

What are some of your favorite diverse books?
I would love to hear about them in the comments.

Happy Reading!!
Thanks for visiting!
