Monthly Wrap-Up: July 2015

Hi Everyone! I hope you are having a fantastic day! Today I am going to be telling you about my reading month and what I am hoping to read next month!

This month I read a total of six books. Overall, I am very happy with the books that I read this month. The Queen of the Tearling was definitely my favorite book of the month. I cannot wait to read The Invasion of the Tearling. My least favorite book was Magonia.

Here are the blog posts I wrote in July:

I am horrible about sticking to a TBR list but these are the books I hope to get to in August. Let me know if you have read any of these books! I am currently reading Aristotle and Dante and I like it. I am not blown away by it, yet. I am only about 45 pages.

Thanks for visiting today!!! Please let me know what you read in the month of July and what you are planning to read in August!

Happy Reading, Everyone!!!

    1. Thanks- hopefully I will get Simon vs. from the library soon. I have a hold on it. I hope that Aris and Dante picks up or something happens. It just seems a little slow for me and maybe my expectations were just different for this book.

  2. I feel like Ari and Dante is a book you need to get at least halfway through before panicking too much. I THOUGHT I WAS GONNA HATE IT. I was so bored for the first 50% and everyone was raving and I was just like "What are they on about?" But then...omg. I fell in love. The writing is just so raw and beautiful and entirely quotable. <3 So yes, don't give up on it just yet!!

    1. I am about the half way point and you nailed it! The story shifts tone and it goes so much deeper and I love it! I wish the beginning was that strong. Thanks for your advice! I am glad I stuck it out.

    1. The Queen of the Tearling was great! It was a little slow at times, but so worth it. I am so glad you loved ACOTAR. The author is absolutely amazing and I love the Throne of Glass series so much. I cannot wait to get to it.

  5. I'm really not a fantasy reader (contemporaries are my love) but ACOTAR is getting such great reviews that I'm considering it. I'll be interested to see what you think of it. I have Simon from the library and hope to get to it before it's due back. :)

    1. I love fantasy! It is by far my favorite genre. I cannot wait to read ACOTAR! I get to meet Sarah J Maas in September at a book signing. I am very excited. I am hoping to get all my books signed by her. I try to read some hyped contemporaries. I like the ones that have a lot of emotional impact. I need a good cry every once in a while. :) I hope you get to read Simon vs. before it goes back! I am still waiting my copy from the library. :)
